Positivity Art Circles and Words Freebie Tag Tutorial

Repurposing your clothing tags is a fun way to reuse what would ordinarily be thrown away.  I loved the clasp on this tag from a jacket I purchased from Marshall’s.  I thought “how can this be useful to me?”

My website subscriber freebie was about to be put to the test.

I began by applying black paint with a make up sponge on the front and back of the tag.  I had printed my freebie on to a piece of old ledger paper that I fed through my printer.  I decided to use one of the circles and the “Holding Space” words for my tag.

I cut them both out and once the black paint was completely dry I glued the circle around the tag.  I then added the words.  I added white marks with a paint brush and white paint.  I then added some scrap fabric and fibers from my studio stash.  Voila – a jazzy new tag for my art journal.

After designing my Positivity Art Circles and Words Freebie I sent it off to a few of my pals and asked if they would please make a few things using the freebies.  As you can see..they made beautiful projects for me.
